Ten scholarships for high schools and universities in Israel will be offered to New Jersey students without regard to their religion, the Scholarships for Israel Committee announced today. The committee will defray the costs of the scholarships which are being offered to “initiate a more favorable and closer relationship between the American youth and the Israelis.”

Albert M. Schulman, of Fort Lee, chairman of the committee, said that each scholarship will cover four months of an Ulpan school course and the eight-month academic year at Tel Aviv University, Bar Han University or the Goodman High School in Ashdod. It will include dormitory board and lodging.
