Dr. Salemon Rodrigues Pereira, chief rabbi of the Sephardi congregation here, died at the age of 81. Dr. Pereira, a noted classicist, served as chaplain to Dutch military forces in Britain during World War II. On several occasions he served as acting chief rabbi of the Ashkenazi congregations in Amsterdam and The Hague.
