Rabbi Arthur Hertzberg, a Conservative rabbi from Englewood, N.J., has been coopted as a non-party member of the Jewish Agency Executive. Rabbi Hertzberg, 48, will replace Rabbi Simon Greenberg, vice chancellor of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, who has resigned for personal reasons.
