The Jewish War Veterans of the United States have offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons who wilfully damaged temples and synagogues. The JWV’s national commander. Bernard B. Direnfeld, said the reward was offered “in view of the growing lawlessness in the physical damaging, destruction and desecration of buildings, furnishings and furniture of temples and synagogues.”
