The chairman of the American Zionist Council has protested “on behalf of 700,000 American Zionists” against the Greek government’s recent decision to postpone the trial of two Arab terrorists who attacked an El Al airliner at Athens Airport last December, killing one passenger. Rabbi Israel Miller said in a letter to the Greek Ambassador in Washington. Basil Vatsaxis, that postponement of the trial for political reasons “is causing many friends of Greece throughout the world, including the Jewish people, to lose faith in the Greek Government’s desire to mete out justice.”
