Two Egyptian planes, one a MIG-21 and the other a Sukhoi-7 bomber, were shot down today as they attacked Israeli positions along the Suez Canal’s central sector. One Israeli soldier was injured. One plane was downed by an Israeli jet, the other by anti-aircraft fire.
