The International Federation of Football Associations has demanded assurances from Morocco that it would play against Israel if the teams of both countries reach the quarter finals in the world cup series to be played in Mexico City. A spokesman for the Moroccan Embassy here said his Government would not make a decision unless the situation arises in Mexico. The Football Association has refused to grant Morocco an “escape clause” and insists on an unconditional promise to play Israel before Jan. 9, the day when the opponents will be drawn.
