Markos L’Inyonei Chinuch, the educational arm of the Lubavitcher movement, has opened its eighth regional office in the United States at Kansas City, Mo. The new office, which will serve the states of Missouri and Kansas, is headed by Rabbi Sholem B. Wineberg, 24, a graduate of the Central Lubavitcher Yeshiva. The new office will organize a wide range of Jewish educational activities and programs. Some 50,000 Jewish children are being educated in the schools maintained by the organization in various parts of the world.

The system operates under the direct supervision of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson. The Kansas City bureau will also initiate a series of programs for Jewish women.
