Wilson Replies to Kosygin’s Note but Content Not Disclosed

Prime Minister Harold Wilson replied today to a note on the Middle East crisis that he received from Soviet Premier Alexei N. Kosygin earlier this week. A Foreign Office spokesman said the reply was presented to the Soviet Ambassador today but did not disclose its contents. Israel’s Ambassador to Britain, Aharon Remez, flew home today for consultations with Foreign Minister Abba Eban. An Embassy spokesman said Anglo-Israel relations had reached a stage where consultations were considered necessary.
