Israel had its second cholera fatality today as seven new cases were reported bringing the total to date to 81. The victim, who died at Tel Hashomer Hospital, was identified as an inmate of a home for retarded youths. Health authorities said he was visited by his parents from Jerusalem earlier in the week and may have contracted the disease from them. He was brought to the hospital in a serious condition and died shortly afterwards. The earlier cholera fatality was a seven-year-old Arab girl from East Jerusalem. Jerusalem is hardest hit. All of today’s cases are from there.
