Two prominent French Jews were made members of France’s Legion of Honor today. Andre Meyer, a member of the Alliance, Israelite Universelle was accorded the title of Grand Officer of the Legion d’Honeur, the highest degree of membership. Chief Rabbi Joseph Cohen of Bordeaux was awarded the title of Commander.
