Detectives of the arson squad are investigating a fire at the Kadimah Library of the Jewish Cultural Center here that destroyed 6000 valuable Hebrew and Yiddish books. Most of the volumes were over a century old and considered irreplaceable. The collection had been assembled from all over the world during the 60 years since the Kadimah Library was established by Jewish migrants from Eastern Europe. Suspicion of arson was aroused because of a fire six months ago that destroyed a new stage being built for the Yiddish theater here. At that time arson was suspected.
