Four Organizations Comprising Jews, Non-jews, Blacks Unify Efforts Against Racism

The National Conference of Christians and Jews, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the National Urban League and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference have agreed to unify their efforts against “racism and polarization.” It will create units to raise funds across the country, beginning during “Brotherhood Week” next February. The four organizations’ National Committee for Commitment to Brotherhood will be headed by William T. Gossett, former vice president and general counsel of Ford Motor Company, and Mrs. Gossett.
