John Cardinal Heenan, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Westminster, received Mrs. Rivka Aleksandrovich in audience last night. Mrs. Aloksandrovich sought the Cardinal’s help in connection with the detention and impending trial of her daughter Ruth in Riga. She said afterwards that her appeal was based on humanitarian grounds and that she was ” very satisfied” with the response of the Cardinal.
