The Jewish community of Timisoara marked the 30th anniversary of the service of their Rabbi, Dr. Ernest Neumann. A festive service took place in the local synagogue. A memorial service for Rumanian rabbis, communal leaders and community officials who perished in the Nazi era took place at the Choral Synagogue in Bucharest. In accordance with an established tradition, the names of the martyrs were read during the service.
