Jewish sources here reported today that a well-known Russian-Jewish painter, Mikhail Pirovhkov, was seriously injured when assaulted by anti-Semitic hooligans on a Moscow street May 28 and is still in a hospital. The sources said Pirovhkov was looking for a taxi when he was beaten up. They said his assailants told him, “Jews aren’t going to ride in taxis in Moscow any more.”
