Dr. William R. Korey, head of B’nai B’rith’s United Nations office, said here last night of the fight to aid Soviet Jewry: “The price of silence is death, and we will not be silent. They let other peoples go back to their homeland–Why not Jews?” Dr. Korey, speaking to 600 persons under the auspices of B’nai B’rith District 7, accepted 3,000 petitions to be sent to the Soviet authorities asking equity for Soviet Jews. District 7 has set a goal of 360,000 such petitions.
