Rothschild Heads Technion Board of Governors

The American Technion Society reported today the election of Evelyn de Rothschild, of London, as chairman of the Board of Governors of Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa. A member of the famous banking family. Rothschild is chairman of the British Technion Society. He succeeds Israel Supreme Court Justice Moshe Landau as head of Technion’s governing body. Lawrence A. Tisch, president-designate of the American Technion Society, has been elected a member of the Board of Governors. The Board recently approved a record budget for 1971-72 totaling $24.3 million for operations and $5.9 million for development. The Technion is Israel’s largest technical college.
