The Cabinet today adopted a tough stand against strikes by government and public service employes and appointed a ministerial committee to draft a bill for prompt action by the Knesset. The principles to be embodied in the legislation, based on proposals by Labor Minister Joseph Almogi, include compulsory arbitration and a ban on strikes by government and public service employes for the duration of their contract.
