Merrill L. Hassenfeld, president of Hasbro Industries, Inc. in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, has been named a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, it was announced today by Robert H. Arnow, JTA president. Active for many years in public life, Hassenfeld is a board member of the Council of Jewish Welfare Funds, executive committee member of the United Jewish Appeal and former president of the Providence, R.I. Jewish Welfare Fund. A Fellow of Brandeis University, Hassenfeld received his BSE from the Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania in 1938.
