President Emilio Garrastazu Medici of Brazil has extended wishes for “peace for the Jewish people all over the world” in a Rosh Hashanah message to the Jewish community. He praised the “brotherly integration” of Brazil’s Jews and cited the construction of the Albert Einstein hospital by the Jewish community of Sao Paulo as “a wonderful example of this integration in the field of social aid and scientific research.”
