A former Prime Minister of Jordan who has lived in exile for the past two years, is expected to arrive here this week for medical treatment at Hadassah Hospital. Maj. Gen. Mohammed Daud was flown to Amman last Saturday night from Paris where he had been undergoing treatment for a brain hemorrhage he reportedly suffered while living in Libya. The Interior Minister has granted him an entry permit at the request of family members here.
Gen. Daud headed King Hussein’s military government at the height of the Jordanian civil war in Sept. 1970. He resigned after eight days in office. His resignation was sent to the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo where Daud had gone to attend an Arab summit meeting called to arrange an armistice between King Hussein and the Palestinian guerrillas.
