Sisco, Humphrey to Address Technion Society’s First National Conference

Joseph J. Sisco, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs, will deliver an address on US policy in the Middle East, at the first National Conference of the American Society for Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, to be held at the Americana Hotel in Miami Beach, Feb. 5 and 6. Sisco will be the key speaker of the Conference dinner on Saturday night. Senator Hubert H. Humphrey will be the main speaker of the Conference luncheon on Sunday.

In announcing the Conference, Laurence A. Tisch, president of the Society, stated: “This is an exciting new concept for friends and supporters of the Technion. Our leaders and members will assemble to discuss all aspects of our program, and map out plans for the next few years, with emphasis on the Technion’s 50th Anniversary Year celebration in 1974.” Participating in the Conference will be Jacob Doron, Ambassador and Deputy Representative of Israel to the United Nations, and Carl Alpert, executive vice chairman of the Board of Governors of the Technion in Haifa.
