Maj. Gen.Zeid Ben Shaker, appointed last night by King Hussein as Chief of Staff of Jordan’s armed forces, is an arch foe of the Palestinian terrorists, It was stated here today. Ben Shaker is believed to have master-minded the anti-terrorist sweep in Jordan last July in which the King’s troops sent thousands of terrorists fleeing into Syria and Lebanon and many more into Israel where they surrendered rather than fall into the hands of the royal army. He has now officially replaced Gen. Mohammed Khalil Abdu Dayem.
