Louis A. Pincus, chairman of the World Zionist Organization Executive, said that Jewish education in the diaspora must be the top priority item on the WZO’s budget. He also announced plans to aid Israeli students of Oriental origin seeking higher degrees. Pincus addressed a session of the Zionist General Council’s permanent finance and budget committee which must approve the WZO’s $30 million budget for fiscal 1972. He said special assistance will be extended this year to post graduate students of Oriental origin who excel in their studies. He said the aid would include scholarships and housing.
