Four Syrian MIG-21s overflew Israeli positions in the Golan Heights Friday, a military spokesman announced today. The spokesman said Israeli jots were sent up to intercept the intruders but did not say whether contact was made. A complaint was lodged with the United Nations truce observation staff in Jerusalem.

According to the announcement, the Syrian overflight began in the southeastern Golan Heights at the junction of the Israeli, Syrian and Jordanian borders and continued due north along the cease-fire line, leaving Israeli airspace in the Kuneitra region.
