The Israeli Supreme Court today rejected an appeal from an Israeli lawyer that it issue a declarative verdict that the trial of Jesus 2000 years ago was unfair. The Court turned down the request by Itzchak David of Eilat on grounds that it could not deal with historical issues. David claimed that the procedure concerning Jesus’ trial was distorted.
