Zina Moshkowitz 65, a dressmaker from Riga, has immigrated to Israel twice. Ms. Moshkowitz had arrived in Israel from the Soviet Union two years ago and was sent to Bat Yam. Four months later, dissatisfied, she returned to Vienna to wait for permission to return to the Soviet Union. Yesterday, she returned to Israel from Vienna and said upon Her arrival at Lod, “I will stay here forever.”

Living in Vienna with the group of “yordim” waiting for permission to return to the Soviet Union, made Ms. Moshkowitz change her mind. Afraid because she had been threatened by the other “yordim” who feared her decision to return to Israel would hurt their chances to return to the Soviet Union, Ms, Moshkowitz secretly approached the Jewish Agency which helped her return to Israel.
