Most Dutchmen do not believe the government should revise its Mideast policy in favor of the Arabs according to a recent public opinion poll conducted in The Netherlands. In a sampling of over 1000 persons 69 percent were not in favor of the government changing its policy to an anti-Israeli stand in order to receive more favorable treatment from the Arab nations, that is, either a total lifting or relaxation of the present Arab oil boycott of The Netherlands. Of those interviewed, 21 percent favored a “slight” modification in the Dutch Mideast policy in favor of the Arabs. Only 9 percent supported an all-out revision in the Arab world’s favor.
