Syrian Fire Continues for 7th Day

Israeli and Syrian gunners exchanged artillery and tank fire intermittently for three hours today in the seventh successive day of shooting along the northern front. There were no reports of casualties. A military spokesman said the Syrians opened fire on Israeli positions in the Mazraat Bet Jan region Harfa. Tel Shams and Tel Ansar. He said Israeli return was heavy but not as severe as yesterday when Syrian guns opened up all along the cease-fire line.

Heavy Syrian fire kept Golan Heights settlers in their bomb shelters for four hours Saturday and for a shorter period Friday.
