A drive was launched here Sunday to promote the purchase of Israeli products to counter the effects of the Arab boycott. Some 150 parents of young Americans residing in Israel announced they would call on rabbis to urge their congregations to press stores to carry Israeli cheeses, fruits, matzohs, candies and wines. The group, the Association of Parents of American Israelis, said that Israeli food products were regarded as among the finest in the world but are rarely seen in large supermarket chains in this country. The meeting was held at 515 Park Avenue. Dr. Nahum Weisman, who is acting chairman of the group, said “We have learned from our children how badly Israel needs to earn foreign exchange.” He said the association was formed by the parents to assist their children in Israel
