Urge Release of Jewish Students

The president of the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions of France (CRIF) sent a telegram to the French Ambassador to Bonn, Olivier Wormser, requesting that the Ambassador intervene in behalf of six French Jewish militants imprisoned in Cologne, Germany. The six students were arrested by German police for their participation in a demonstration held June 24 outside the office of former SS officer Kurt Lischks, The demonstration protested Lischka’s seeming immunity to trial for crimes committed during World War II.
