Calling on American Jews to respond to the continuing attacks on Zionism, the Labor Zionist Movement has launched a nationwide membership campaign “to support Israel and build Zionism in the United States.” Dr. Judah J. Shapiro, president of the Labor Zionist Alliance, and Mrs. Charlotte Stein, president of Pioneer Women, in a joint statement, said that the membership campaign would stress its support of the American Zionist Federation and the Jerusalem Program of the World Zionist Organization. The membership drive will encompass all of the American Labor Zionist units such as Friends of Labor Israel, the Labor Zionist Alliance. Pioneer Women, Friends of Pioneer Women and the Labor Zionist youth movements, Habonim and Dror.
