The Greater New York Conference on Soviet Jewry will launch a daily “freedom vigil” next month “to remind the Soviets that we will not be deterred in our efforts to gain freedom for Jews in the USSR.” Bronx Borough President Robert Abrams, Conference chairman, said that constituent agencies of the Conference, as well as synagogue groups, chapters of major Jewish organizations, youth groups and Jewish schools will take part in the vigil beginning Feb. 15. It will be conducted each day between 12 noon and 1 p.m. In front of the mid-Manhattan offices of Aeroflot.
