Graceful gazelles still leap through the Galilee, the ibex continues to climb up the cliffs of Ein Gedi, a family of flurry conies finds refuge under a large rock and brilliant red anemones bloom freely over Mt. Hermon. These are some of the fascinating example of wildlife from Biblical times still extant in Israel and documented in an exhibition of 42 brilliant color photographs by Gail Rubin now on view at The Jewish Museum through April 24. The photographs are each accompanied by a Biblical quotation citing reference to its subject. Ms. Rubin, whose work has appeared in various magazines, was recently in Israel on the photographic expedition responsible for the exhibition.
