Daniel Sambursky, a composer of numerous Israeli songs, died here at the age of 68. One of his best known works was “Shir Ha’amek” (Song of the Valley) which was included in the film “Exodus.” Born in Koenigsberg, Germany on Apr. 4, 1909, he came to Israel in 1933. He had previously studied at the music conservatory in Danzig and at the University of Berlin. He was a music teacher at the Teachers Seminary here. A composer since 1933, his songs are known throughout Israel.
