Dr. Housein Fawzi a former Rector of Alexandria University, has received an honorary doctorate from the Tel Aviv University. Other recipients at the academic awards ceremony were Israeli writer Abba Kovner; Dr. Mortimer Sackler and Joseph Strelitz of the U.S. and Dr. Jaime Constatiner of Mexico.
The first Human Rights chair in Israel was inaugurated at Tel Aviv University and will be named the Anny and Paul Yonowicz Chair of Human Rights. The Yanowicz’s are from New York.
