Deputy Premier and Minister of Agriculture Simcha Ehrlich died shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday night, the government announced tonight. He was 78 years old. The Cabinet will meet in special session Monday to discuss funeral arrangements. Ehrlich was admitted to the hospital last Tuesday, suffering from a brain clot. He fell into a coma on Friday morning.
