The Knesset voted 58-36 in secret ballot Tuesday to restrict the parliamentary immunity of Rabbi Meir Kahane, Kach Party leader. The Knesset move will bar Kahane from entering Arab villages to exhort the residents to emigrate. During the three-hour debate preceding the vote, many MKs likened Kahane’s policies to those instituted against German Jews by the Nazis. The Kach Party advocates the expulsion of all Arabs from Israel and the occupied territories.
