Mazon Announces Grants for Hungry

Mazon has announced its second semi-annual grant of $85,000 to help alleviate hunger in the U.S. Funds will be awarded to feeding centers and food banks in Los Angeles, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., New Orleans, Cambridge, Main, Santa Fe, N.M., and Pomona, Calif., according to Mazon national chairman Theodore Mann.

In addition, two grants totalling $10,000 were made for short-and-long term food aid to the remaining Jews in Ethiopia, Mann said. The organization was founded in June 1986 with an initial grant of $20,000.
