An Israeli reserve soldier was stabbed Saturday in Bethlehem while patrolling the West Bank city.

The soldier, Gadi Amzaleg, 25, of Petach Tikva, underwent more than eight hours of surgery for chest and liver wounds at Hadassah University Hospital in Ein Kerem.
