An agreement has been reached between El Al and Aeroflot airlines for regular direct commercial flights between Moscow and Tel Aviv, according to El Al Director Rafi Har-Lev, who returned from the Soviet capital Thursday.
The El Al spokesman said the flights, due to start in the first days of January, would initially consist of weekly flights by each of the airlines, but would later be increased to daily flights when the traffic warrants.
Agreement has also been reached on the cost of the flight ticket, but the spokesman declined to specify what it would be.
El Al had requested a price of some $500, but the Russians demanded a $650 price tag.
