Jean-Marie Le Pen’s extreme right-wing National Front drew more than 25 percent of the vote Sunday in a parliamentary by-election in Lyon.
Although it lost the election, the party’s strong showing in a major city in southeastern France aroused concern among many who consider the National Front racist and anti-Semitic.
