The famous farming cooperative in the Jezreel Valley voted overwhelmingly last week to discard socialism after 71 years in favor of a market economy.
Henceforth it will be a moshava, allowing non-farm families to join the village and pursue their private vocations or professions individually.
The vote was not even close — 81-6 in favor of perestroika.
