In another possible case of terrorism, an elderly Israeli woman and her son were found beaten to death Sunday in their home in Holon, near Tel Aviv.

Police said they were not certain whether the motive for the killings was political or criminal, but they pointed out that the victims were not robbed.

Last week, a Jewish prostitute was killed in the same general area and a note in Arabic was left on her body warning that more Jews would be killed unless Israel reversed its deportation last month of 415 Moslem fundamentalists.

Sunday’s victims were identified as Tamar Nagar, 92, and her son, Gavriel, 61.

The elderly woman was found in her bed, and her son was discovered in the back yard. Both had been beaten with a blunt object.

The two lived for some 30 years in a single house in the city’s Moledet neighborhood, which is secluded from other parts of the city.

Neighbors said they suspected the two were murdered by Arabs.
