First lady Hillary Clinton focused on social domestic issues in a talk at a conference of major woman donors to the United Jewish Appeal. The first lady sidestepped the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal. Some 2,000 Lion of Judah members, each of whom give at least $5,000 annually to the UJA-federation campaign, are attending the conference.
