The Netherlands agreed to give its Jewish community $180 million to compensate for injustices they suffered in Holland after returning from Nazi death camps. “We are happy that this settlement has been reached,” said Ronni Naftaniel, a spokesman for the Central Jewish Council, which negotiated the settlement with Finance Ministry officials.
