The 100th anniversary of the death of Theodor Herzl, the father of Zionism, was marked in Budapest. Monday’s commemoration took place at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Herzl was born in Budapest on May 2, 1860, across the street from the city’s Great Synagogue.
