Jacques Chirac made an appeal for tolerance in a French village that saved thousands of Jews during the Holocaust. Speaking Thursday at the village school in Chambon-sur-Lignon in eastern France, the French president called on citizens to show tolerance for their neighbors and condemned recent attacks against Jewish and Muslim targets in France.
