Israeli writer Amos Oz won a German literary prize. Oz, 65, a perpetual Nobel nominee, won the Welt prize awarded by the daily Die Welt newspaper, the jury said last Friday. Oz won the prize for his entire oeuvre, but the jury especially cited his most recent work, “A Tale of Love and Darkness,” believed by critics to be his most autobiographical work.
